The food is a dream. The restaurant has its very own style and the aquarium in the middle of the room is an absolute eye-catcher. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The menu offers something for everyone. But you should reserve the table beforehand. Plus point: implementation of the hygiene rules!

The schnitzel is a must! The waitress was just great; friendly and open. Drinks were also very good and the atmosphere was great. We had absolutely nothing to complain about. We recommend :)

Delicious food, great service, value for money is absolutely right. But I am enthusiastic about the "real" Wiener Schnitzel. Preparing it seems so easy, but hardly anyone outside of Austria and parts of Bavaria understands it as well as the chef here.

Delicious classic restaurant in Niendorf. Usual regional menu with fish and meat (focus on schnitzel). Price / performance ratio is good, the service is courteous. I don't understand why there is Krombacher. There are so many good beers from the north, why does it have to be a beer from the Sauerland? More local flavor would do very well here.

Offer, selection and menu are really good. Unfortunately only the 'timing' doesn't fit. Eating has been taking a long time, especially when it's full.

We always like to come back to the Johannsens. The food is delicious and all the staff are friendly and attentive. Since the tables can be reserved for 1.5 hours at certain times, there is an increased number of new guests at 6.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m., where everyone wants to be served immediately. The staff is particularly challenged and does everything possible to do justice to everyone. Respect how you have it under control! Two tips: 1. If you would like to spend more than 1.5 hours there, you should reserve it from 7.30 pm. After that, he will not be forgiven again. 2. The online reservation works fine for up to 4 people. For more people you can also inquire by email. For me it worked fine for 5 people 2 days in advance.

Very cozy, tastefully furnished location with very delicious food and an equally friendly team. For us the best restaurant in all of Niendorf / Timmendorfer Strand and the surrounding area! We were spontaneously in this restaurant for the first time today. We were lucky and got a seat behind the reception, the rest was completely reserved. The service was friendly and attentive in spite of the strong crowd. The food was delicious and sufficient.

Really nice restaurant right at the Timmendorf Niendorfer Strand. Due to the beautiful weather we sat outside and enjoyed the late summer breeze. The inside looks fabolous too and has a ton of neat quirks. I like about this restaurant that you can reserve a table online, which I really recommend because it gets busy quickly. My husband had the spareribs and I had the vegetarian pasta. Both tasted super delicious. My husband, who is from the US was fairly impressed with their spareribs and that comes from a guy who considers BBQ a religion :) All in all a nice spot to enjoy dinner during your vacation. For parking I recommend the parking spots next to Edeka.

This was the first time we were at the Johannsens. Reservation essential - not just because of Corona, but because the restaurant is so popular. And rightly so! Great ambience of a ship below deck with lots of great details ... you can hardly get to eat in awe. The menu offers something for everyone: Schnitzel was good and Pannfisch was great, good selection of drinks. Good advice and a really brisk and courteous team make the evening perfect! We have already reserved again :-)

It was our third visit there (after exactly 5 years for the first time). The hygiene rules were implemented well and attention was paid to them. There was only no mask requirement. There was enough distance to the neighboring tables. The food was great, but also relatively expensive. We both had steak and potato dippers. For dessert the divine brownie. Paid with drinks about 70 € for 2 people. In the end we were unfortunately no longer noticed. The drinks were empty and the waitress paid us no more attention. So not asked if we would like to have a drink. So it took a long time before we could pay. However, there were always guests who asked for a table. So they had a lot to do there. In everything we were very satisfied and would be happy to come back.

We were there on a Tuesday evening and received a very warm welcome. Although we arrived a little before the time agreed upon in the reservation, a table was immediately set up for us. The service staff are very careful, always on the spot and very, very friendly. The food was excellent, the ambience very nice. A nice evening!

Total hyped! Super nice staff. The food was delicious! It was positively noticed: The hygiene rules are observed exceptionally well. Menus, laminated, tables and pens were meticulously disinfected by the waiter. Great. 👍👍👍🙏 Will certainly eat there often in the next 3 weeks.

Super delicious food and very nice service with a lot of humor! We felt very comfortable. The ambience is also great. The drinks could have come a little earlier, hence a small star deduction. Otherwise we were satisfied.

We were at the Johannsens for the first time today and were really very satisfied. The ambience is very nice and fits perfectly with the Baltic Sea - beautifully maritime 👌 The service was very friendly and everything went really quickly with the food. The selection of dishes is absolutely sufficient and there is something for every taste 👍 I was also very fond of the homemade lemonade. Otherwise everything from the fish soup to the schnitzel and the spare ribs was very tasty. We are happy to recommend the Johannsens and would be happy to come back 😊

Service very at peace except drinks took a while. Eat: Both the taste and the amount of the schnitzel are great. The pasta with shrimp and gorgonzola sauce was also very tasty because I was able to try it with my wife. Summary: My wife and I can recommend a visit, we will come back here next time we go on vacation. Thanks to the Johannsens team.

Nice seafood restaurant, also alternatives for non seafood fans. My burger was good, not the best ever but solid good! The "Pannfish" was great! Price is more than fair! The ambient is very cosy and dark. Dark not negative! It feels like one dining on a boat!
